Profile

Anda Staltmane, Mag.iur., is an attorney in law firm VILGERTS and part of firm’s litigation and dispute resolution team. She represents firm’s clients in litigations concerning real estate and construction, commercial matters, insolvency and insurance.

Before focusing her practice on litigation, Anda worked in a law firm, where she gained broad experience in drafting contracts and exercising transactions in such areas as design and construction, sale and purchase of real estates, investments and project development, IT, as well as in company establishment, M&A, liquidation and corporate governance.

As an assistant to several insolvency administrators Anda has gained extensive work experience in the insolvency field. She has helped clients to avoid insolvency proceedings initiated by creditors, one of the major cases involving the debt due of EUR 9 Mio. She also has successfully defended the debtors’ related (holding) companies and previous management board members against claims brought by insolvency administrators. Anda is a member of Section of Insolvency Rights Attorneys by Latvian Bar Association and has organized several conferences on the current issues and transformations of the insolvency law in Latvia.
