Brigita Tērauda
Brigita Tērauda, LL.M. is a recognized attorney in Latvia with respect to intellectual property rights, as well as corporate law. She has extensive experience in providing legal advice on intellectual property related matters, including IP legal due diligence, development of IP protection strategies, commercialisation, licencing, co-existence, registration and transfers.
Brigita represents clients at the court in trademark infringement and invalidation cases, domain disputes, copyright infringement cases, as well as disputes involving patents and designs. She also acts before the Industrial Property Board of Appeal of Latvia and the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
As to her experience in corporate law, Brigita specialises in reorganisation procedures, including cross-border mergers, business transfers, resolution of shareholders’ disputes, as well as corporate governance and board liability issues. Brigita has acted for clients in many M&A transactions, representing either the seller or the buyer.
